The Third Eye - Millbrae
The Third Eye
Description
Based on various reviews, it seems that Third Eye in Millbrae is a hit or miss dining experience. Some customers have had disappointing meals with tough lamb shank, flat tonic, and dry rice, leading to an overall feeling of being overrated. However, others have enjoyed the spacious and quiet atmosphere, good food, friendly staff, and comfortable seating. The restaurant offers a diverse menu with flavorful dishes, featuring a mix of traditional and Himalayan twists. While some feel the cocktail menu could be improved, the overall consensus is that Third Eye is worth a try if you're in the mood for Indian cuisine near Millbrae.

Recently we were looking for a place to meet our son for dinner. I checked out Millbrae as it was about halfway between where we each live. We all love Indian food and the Himalayan twist was a nice surprise. The food was delicious, the staff very friendly and even the chairs were comfortable! From the standard chicken tikka masala to the goat curry everything was amazing. Our waiter was great about suggesting new items to try and there wasn't a bad choice among our dishes. Get several items and share for the full experience.
We went to the Third Eye because it was near the hotel where we were staying, and we love Indian food. We were extremely pleasantly surprised. The food was great; the portions, generous; and the servers were friendly, helpful and efficient. The decor isn't the high point, but with food and service this good, who cares? Great place! I would definitely go again.
I was really excited to try this place, having passed it several times. It 's spacious on the inside, and the atmosphere is nice- a good place to have a quiet discussion. I wasn 't blown away by the food. It was good, not great. Just missing that special something. I would go back given the convenience (not far from 280 or 101).
I love Indian food, curry, naan, and tandoori. While this place has very good service and environment, its food quality is below par.
Our experience was a Thursday night before a red eye flight home. the dinning area was not busy but the bar was packed for the NBA championship game. the food was solid with some interesting variations including water buffalo but because we were going to be on a plane for 5hrs we stayed away from the really spicy stuff. it was good but not overwhelming. the decor is a bit overstated in the pictures as this is a very casual place.
