Contribute FeedbackLocated in the Bay Area, this restaurant is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with a nostalgic feel that some regulars consider a breakfast haven. The staff is friendly, and the service is fast. The menu offers a wide variety of continental dishes, with large portions that are both tasty and satisfying. The pancakes are a standout, though some dishes like biscuits and gravy may not meet expectations. Prices are somewhat high for the area, but the overall experience is enjoyable. The parking may be limited, but it's worth the visit for a solid breakfast option in the area.
Food was delicious! We stopped here on our way back to L.A. from San Francisco.. pancakes were on spot! The T-bone steak was just right, nice and juicy and everyone's meal was done just the way they wanted it. The staff was friendly and the waiter did an amazing job
Pancakes and waffles are absolutely delicious. Service was friendly and fast. Ambience was similar to an old farmhouse, clean and pretty.
It's been some time since we have been here since we moved to the East Bay! We were flying out of SFO and had some time for a weekday breakfast and this was the right call. It has been long enough that they now use electronic ordering with handhelds instead of the really long paper order slips. We went with the corned beef hash and scrambled eggs with hash browns AND pancakes (one order) and the cinnamon apple pancakes (more like crepes) for the second order. Both dishes were excellent, and the cinnamon apple pancakes were super light (we requested no powdered sugar or whipped cream). Service was super fast so we made it so SFO with plenty of time to spare. Parking is super limited now that the next door building is up, but the neighborhood has spaces available.
As soon as you enter you can smell breakfast in the air. The vibes are welcoming, cozy and nostalgic. There is always a good crowd inside and for some regulars, it feels like it's a local everyday breakfast haven. The staff was very friendly. I'm terms of the food, it's reminiscent of any diner. Comforting and satisfying. The pancakes were fluffy, omelettes were hearty and coffee was well like every other diner coffee.
I grew up coming here. now that i have a family of my own, its there turn to come and try the food! We love the old school look of MPH it makes it feel warm and cozy. The people who are serving are always so friendly and quick. MPH is definitely a staple in the Peninsula so we are here to see it standing forever. I DONT want to share my secret on what time to go... BUT lets just say if you are there 11 am to 1 pm be aware there will be a wait! Anything you eat here will be delicious! so you cannot go wrong.
