Ben Tre - Millbrae
Ben Tre
Description
Ben Tre offers an array of Vietnamese dishes that evoke authentic flavors reminiscent of Vietnam. While standout items like the five-spice chicken and garlic noodles delight, inconsistencies mar the experience. Service issues, such as slow attention and payment hurdles, detract from the meal. Diners rave about the freshness of spring rolls and the quality of pho, although one dish left some unsatisfied due to overpowering sweetness. Despite mixed reviews, many patrons express a desire to return, hoping to explore more menu options. Overall, Ben Tre shows promise but may require more attention to service and dish consistency.

Comments: I ordered takeout for the airport, and the food was fantastic. It tasted incredibly fresh and packed with flavor, truly authentic. I would highly recommend it to anyone!
Fantastic, authentic Vietnamese restaurant! We ordered takeout before our flight from SFO (it's just one exit before the airport, perfect for fueling up your rental car). The flavors were genuine, and the restaurant was clean and pleasant. The Vietnamese coffee also looked amazing!
I began my meal with the shrimp spring rolls, which were delightfully refreshing, especially on a warm night. The pho was quite impressive, boasting a clear yet flavorful beef broth. It's worth mentioning that it only comes in one size, comparable to a medium at other pho spots. If you're looking for a rice dish, I highly recommend the five-spice chicken at Ben Tre; it’s cooked to perfection and not overdone like at many other places. The staff here are exceptionally efficient and friendly. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant!
This restaurant is amazing! The service is prompt and the food is top-notch. I ordered dishes number 15 and 29, and I thoroughly enjoyed both. We accidentally left our backpack behind when we left, and a staff member hurried outside to return it to us. I highly recommend this place!
I've visited Ben Tre in Millbrae for lunch on two separate occasions with some coworkers, and both times were delightful. I typically opt for the BBQ pork vermicelli noodles with an egg roll, as I'm not much of a Pho fan. The servings are quite generous and the food is scrumptious. The service is impressively fast, allowing you to enjoy a meal and still make it back within your lunch hour. There's street parking and a lot available, though it can get a bit crowded during peak lunch hours. The restaurant is conveniently located among other eateries and shops. All in all, it's a fantastic dining spot.
