Nestled between two roads and surrounded by majestic redwood trees, this historic restaurant offers a vibrant atmosphere and a variety of dining options. While patrons praise the exceptional steak salad and delightful pizzas, opinions diverge on other dishes like the burgers and chicken sandwiches, which some find dry and underwhelming. Service experiences also vary, with some noting attentive staff while others encounter a less hospitable demeanor. Ideal for post-hike meals, this spot caters well to families and groups, making it a popular choice for locals and visitors alike. Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends, to ensure a hassle-free dining experience.

The historic building is a great spot for drinks, but unfortunately they do not have any vegan options. The chickpeas and steamed veggies were bland and overpriced at $22. The broccolini, which was said to be vegan-friendly, appeared to be cooked with bacon fat.

This is a large, historic building that is great for drinks. However, they do not offer vegan patties and the plate of cherry and steamed vegetables for $22 was tasteless. The broccolini was recommended as vegan-friendly but seemed to be flavored with speck fat.

I absolutely adored this restaurant located in the lumberyard. They offered a fantastic selection of vegan desserts, with the vegan brownie (found in the cooler section) standing out as a standout. I also thoroughly enjoyed the taco salad, which was incredibly satisfying and generously portioned.

We arrived around 1 PM on a weekday, and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. In addition to this restaurant, there are shops to explore, and the restrooms are clean! If you're visiting Muir Woods, make sure to stop in for a bite to eat and a drink. This place has a rich history with the redwoods, situated between two roads. The burgers were fantastic, and the corn soup was just right for the chilly July day. I should also highlight that the service was exceptional, with our server being attentive and friendly.

The wine selection was quite disappointing, and to make matters worse, they were out of three of the five white wines available by the glass. The choices felt overly eclectic. The arugula on the pizza seemed at least a week old, and the prosciutto was of very low quality. This restaurant has the potential to be much better. It seems like it will be some time before it earns any awards in Marin.
