Gravity Tavern

Gravity Tavern
4.1 / 5 (1727 reviews)

Description

Gravity Tavern presents a vibrant atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating, complemented by a menu featuring delightful cocktails and seasonal dishes. Diners have praised standout items like the brussel sprouts and pastrami sandwiches, although portions have raised eyebrows, especially considering the price point. While service can be attentive, inconsistencies in food quality—such as overcooked chicken and lukewarm dishes—have led to mixed reviews. Despite these drawbacks, the restaurant's lively spirit and potential for a memorable dining experience keep patrons hopeful for a better visit next time. Reservations are recommended for a seamless experience.

This restaurant and bar has a fantastic atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating options. The menu offers a variety of vegetarian and gluten-free options, as well as fresh seasonal dishes. Convenient parking is available on the property either towards the back of the restaurant or nearby.

It was delicious. A perfect neighborhood spot that still feels like a night out. Solid cocktails and a broad menu. Would happily return.

I have given gravity tavern multiple chances over the past year and a half. The 1st time I tried the fried chicken sandwich and it was delicious. I was craving it again. The next couple of times were completely misses. The sandwich was smaller and one time I think they gave me and my boss the old chicken from the night before, it was really awful.Today we ordered the pastrami sandwich, it was good but to my shock it was only 1/2 of a sandwich. We were looking for the rest of it. My boss called Gravity and asked if the had made a mistake with the order, the gentleman on the phone said “no that’s how it come and we just load it up with meat” that’s disappointing it really it. I usually do not like to complain about anything maybe it was an off day, but to pay $28 (including tip) to get 1/2 of a sandwich and 15 soggy French fries is a little too rich for my blood. The menu online also said $21 but was charged $23 when it was picked up.This is the last time I’ll patronize this restaurant. They’ve gotten more expensive and the quality and the quantity of the dishes are now just mediocre.Remember this sandwich is only 1/2 if you would like to order one going forward. The 2nd star is because the pastrami flavor were good. Not the size of the 1/2 of sandwich.

My wife and I had reservations at another restaurant, but after waiting without a menu, we decided to go somewhere else. Gravity was very busy, but they were able to seat us outside at 8:00pm. Our server (Rudy) was very friendly and attentive. Despite being the only ones outside, he made sure to check on us frequently and even brought extra heat lamps to keep us warm. The owner/manager also came out to chat with us and share some funny stories. The food arrived quickly and tasted delicious. My wife particularly enjoyed the steelhead (salmon). It was a lovely evening and we will definitely be returning.

The Gravity Tavern was a bit of a mixed bag, but overall I would give it four stars. The cocktails and appetizers were fantastic. Our server recommended a wine that paired perfectly with our meal. The downside? The food was not served hot and the fried chicken looked messy.
