What User doesn't like about Mint Cafe:
went today for the first time. when we walked in, the music was so loud the few customers were yelling to talk to one another. I have heard the food was good, but reminded me of the ol' days when I went to the disco's in Montreal. maybe it was just a bad moment or someone's favourite song was playing and they cranked it up. not a good first impression for us. second time this week for me. 2 restaurants, same area. ma... This little storefront cafe was right beside our hotel so we decided to give it a try. We were four adult family members travelling together and we were delighted by our meal at the Mint Cafe. Sunday Brunch was small but mighty. Served inside the little restaurant on a couple of tables and across the counter was a bounty of homemade and home cooked eggs, meats, potatoes, pancakes, waffles, sweets, and an assortment of juice, coffee, tea, and water along with delicious sauces, jams, and maple syrup. All superbly tasty. I highly recommend this little cafe for its great food.
I came up from the city to get away and wanted a low key local atmosphere to work on my creative projects while I ate (artist). I chose this based on reviews. European owners are dedicated, passionate and genuinely good people, so its easy to support their independent vision. A couple cute details in the food presentation, the varying music genres and the cheerful attitudes made my experience what it was. I could easily see how they could bring it up a notch if they wanted to, especially two years into the business; I asked because it seemed like it was new or still in development. I'm happy to support the mint cafe and truly hope it continues to grow and succeed; we need more of these places around and I can see this one could be like the trademark midland experience one day! Next time I'm in town, I will return with more than just ideas to contribute. This has the bones of a place where memories are made, a little more effort put into the atmosphere and decor and it could be exceptional and super appealing to the creative youth.
I have two young children and can actually enjoy a stress free breakfast: they have toys, free kids meals and juice boxes! Always awesome music and chill vibe. Food is made with love. Highly recommend especially if you have young ones! Staff/ owners are always so friendly and just great people!

My boyfriend and I went for breakfast and we were not disappointed! Had a hard time deciding what we wanted - everything sounded amazing. When what we ordered came we were 100% satisfied. Taste was great, portion size was great, atmosphere was great and service was great. Will be back - with my stretchy pants next time!
