So I actually went to the ardingly caffe and here I was served the beautiful, tasty dish, avacardo smash with rührei, instead of a poached egg as I don't like it especially. this was no problem again, since I had actually substituted with a fried egg before the fried eggs! I and my partner were actually late, since cooked service had set to 2.15, we had arrived at 2.30, were nevertheless warmly welcomed and quickly s... View all feedback.
What John Cowell doesn't like about The Ardingly Inn:
We booked on their website expecting to find the comfortable and friendly accommodation the site promised. They confirmed our booking by email but said nothing about a live band playing a few metres from our room until 11pm nor that a noisy group of people would then shout even closer to us until 11.45pm. Emma the Chef is excellent. The food is delicious and caters well to dietary restrictions. My favorite dish was the pizza.
This family-operated pub in Ardingly offers delicious pizza with a variety of toppings. The interior is pleasant and we felt safe in terms of Covid-19 protocols. They also have a spacious outdoor garden with plenty of benches.
Not an obvious choice for Fish and Chips but our local was not anssering their phone. The meal was ready at the time agreed. Also the cod and chips was great with wonderful crispy batter and the chips were good too.
Recently, I decided to go on a circular walk from Ardingly and discovered that the Oak Inn, which was listed in the walk guide, had closed down. Instead, I chose to dine at the Ardingly Inn and was pleasantly surprised to easily book a table for 8 on a Sunday lunchtime. The menu was short but perfect, the food was excellent for both children and adults, the service was friendly, and overall it was a delightful and reasonably priced lunch. The landlord mentioned that many people overlook the pub due to its location set slightly back from the main road. Don't make the same mistake - you're missing out. I will definitely be returning.
Fabulous lunch, food was lovely, staff friendly, and the garden was so peaceful and relaxing, if they had more vegetarian options it would have been a five star,
