What Tom Oliver doesn't like about The Orient:
I've been there a few times but thought the food was very average this time round and incredibly greasy. I know at the end of the day, it's a takeaway, but the food did not taste at all fresh. The shredded chilli beef was more batter (or whatever the coating was) than beef, the pancake roll was tasteless and the banana fritters were grim. Very greasy and again not particularly tasty. I had this tonight for first time in ages.. can honestly say it was absolutely perfect really hot and very tasty x
Food was spot on and the guy behind the counter was friendly and helpful. Have been coming to the Orient in Tivvy for years now and will do so for years to come.
Amazing chicken curry, the curry was really good and massive bits of chicken which was so tender.
Never had a bad meal and lovely people.foods fast and reasonable prices.the place looks a little rundown but don't that put you off as it's only decor
