What Connector812539 doesn't like about The General Sir Redvers Buller:
I recently had breakfast at this restaurant and was disappointed to find that my bacon was almost raw and my scrambled eggs were undercooked as well. The food was simply dumped in front of us with a spare plate for my granddaughter, and we couldn't find a staff member to address the issues. Overall, the experience was not good and I will not be returning to this restaurant. View all feedback.
Well, where should I start? Perhaps at the bottom of a beautiful spiral staircase? Some may say no, but I say yes. Absolutely, yes, with a playful wink. Aside from that, are you in the mood for a drink? No? That's fine, because the food here is so good that I come here alone. Although I have friends, I don't hear from them often. The pizza menu has become my new go-to. Not in the mood for ice cream, it's too cold for us. Instead, we can sit down and enjoy a chat over a reasonably priced bottle of Blue Nun. I believe I've said enough for now. We should catch up soon.
This restaurant is a fantastic option for a quick and affordable meal. It's always a great choice for breakfast or lunch, especially on cold and rainy days. The price per person typically falls between £10 to £20. The food, service, and atmosphere all receive a 5-star rating.
For those who may not be aware, the restaurant Spoonies that was mentioned above has now closed down. There is currently no information on what will happen next.

Lovely Spoons is located on the main street. It is unclear whether the restaurant used to be a hotel or a bank, but it likely was the former. The seating is spread out across multiple levels. We visited during the beer festival and there were still plenty of ales available. The staff was exceptionally friendly and gave us helpful tips on buses and trains to explore the surrounding area.
