Charming little pub tucked away in the countryside. We were fortunate to come across it during our drive. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the staff are very friendly. Even with a few locals around, we felt welcomed and will definitely return. 5 stars! View all feedback.

What Stoxonian dislikes about The Lymington Arms:
Terrible food. Complete waste of money. Straight from the freezer into the fryer. So unhealthy. I had 'gammon steak 'supposedly .This was full of fat and cooked so hard so that the fat could not be seen. This is not gammon steak sorry. View all feedback.

After reading positive reviews and knowing they were dog-friendly, we decided to have an early dinner at this restaurant. However, we ended up staying longer because we loved the atmosphere, the friendly service, delicious food, and unexpected live music. We ordered lasagne and scampi, both of which were excellent. The freshly-made salad that accompanied our main dishes was outstanding. The creme brulee was freshly prepared and top-quality. I also enjoyed a well-poured pint or two of Teignworthy Gun Dog, which was well-kept and very tasty. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

Lovely pub (proper pub) close to where we were staying. Had a couple of pints of their local real ale which was good. Landlord was accommodating, helpful and good to talk with Our food was served in good time and we were unable to find fault with any of it. The pub is dog friendly and our Springerpoo Mollie was able to sit with us at our table In all a lovely couple of hours at a nice pub in good company We travelled from Wales for a short break so its unlikely we will return but what a gem all the same

We arrived unexpectedly for Sunday lunch with our two dogs. The landlord was very accommodating and managed to squeeze us in despite not having a reservation and being busy. The food was excellent, with generous portions and attentive service. We will definitely come back when we are in the area. A true village pub with delicious food!
