An incredibly friendly bunch on this lovely little boat. Sipping a delicious cider while the ducks quacked around us was delightful. Would definitely visit again. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Lovely spot to enjoy a drink in the changeable weather we sat outside on the boat and then moved in when it started to rain. Good drink options. Fun traditional canal costumes and very friendly folks running it. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Nice spot. They were a member of staff down on the day I visited and the person who was serving doesn’t usually prepare the coffees. My flat white was OK but wouldn’t normally have been good enough to bring me back. I’ll give it another try given the staffing issues they were suffering.
Brilliant place for a pit stop. We walked from Halberton to Tiverton and stopped for gin and tonic and lemon cake on board this lovely little barge
Such a lovely place to visit. It is busy so the wait is quite long but worth it
Nestled by the picturesque Grand Canal in Tiverton, this charming cafe offers a delightful escape for visitors. Famous for its delicious pasties and homemade cakes, the venue dazzles with friendly service in a cozy atmosphere. However, some operational hiccups, such as stock unavailability during peak times and occasional staff shortages, have detracted from the overall experience. Diners have noted the need for better customer service training for certain staff members. Despite these drawbacks, patrons appreciate the welcoming ambiance, family-friendly environment, and the perfect opportunity to enjoy a refreshing drink or ice cream while soaking in the scenic surroundings.

Really quirky place to visit for drinks by the canal! Staff are super friendly and the place itself is lovely and peaceful!
After the ride on the barge we went to The Ducks Ditty Bar for a ice cream and a sit down very nice ice cream very relaxing
The best around by a million miles. Much better than the disgraceful Canal Tea Rooms. Well done all involved :
We stopped here for a quick glass of wine and couldn't fault the service. The mum and daughter were so welcoming and although we were near closing time, they didn't rush us one bit. Lovely drinks had by all and a great price. Thank you
I only stayed for coffee here. I was cycling the towpath route this was the mid point before I returned. Location is wonderful. It has been done out quite cosily inside. There were lots of outside tables so I expect it gets very busy in the summer at weekends.

We actually had a pasty first, which was very tasty. The service was helpful and friendly. Topped by a yummy, reasonably priced ice cream which is sometimes rare.
My wife doesn't eat pasties and is not keen on cake or ice cream for lunch, and that is all they had.The tea and coffee were good and the surroundings were clean and pleasant, it is a shame they do not serve sandwiches or paninis.
We arrived at opening time and as the main item on sale for lunch is pasties we hoped that the full choice as per the menu would be available to purchase, but rather oddly were told that a member of staff had gone across the water a few seconds journey it appeared to get stock and we could either have the two choices available or wait for the rest for as long as it took basically. Well we got a little fed up with waiting so eventually chose one of the options that were available. It might be a good idea to replenish stock prior to opening time at 12 midday not while customers are actually standing waiting to order and pay! Once microwaved (presumably, as we heard a ping) the pasties were then handed to us in paper bags and were far too hot to eat. I asked for a knife to cut them in half so they could cool down a little before we could eat them. However, once they were cool enough to eat we found them to be delicious. As one of my party commented, it would surely be easier for the cafe to provide plates which could be washed up, rather than have to clear up all the crumbs that eating from a paper bag made. The decor was nice, the staff pleasant, the setting lovely, the pasties very enjoyable, just the above points stop me from giving it 5 stars.
Only used for ice creams, but they were very good served by a 'wench ' (sorry if that is politically incorrect, it 's meant as a compliment! dressed in period costume.
The restaurant offers delicious food and drinks, with a welcoming and friendly staff. The servers are dressed in traditional attire from the past, adding a charming touch to the dining experience. Guests have the option to dine indoors or outdoors.

Great place for a box stop. we went from half to tiverton and thought for gin and tonic and lemon cake on board this beautiful little barge
Brilliant service with a smiling large coffee bar on the river worth visiting. also sells beer/wine for these summer days. pity that they do not soy milk
A wonderful small boat cafe/bar. fantastic hand made cake full of great tastings, as well as tees, selection of coffee, soft drinks, weine apple wine and beer. the sawnetee looked fantastic. very friendly service.
A lovely little family run business open for the summer season only. They have a range of hot and cold beverages as well as a variety of ice creams. It can get very popular, especially on a sunny day.

Stopped for tea and cake after a long bike ride. Asked what flavours the cakes were. Very bluntly responded with the answers. Delivered the order to our table and we were told off like naughty children for putting the parasol up. in 25 degree heat with not even a slight breeze. Not safe apparently. Never mind the heat on my kids! Two drinks not delivered. Had to go and get them. Given a glass bottle and not offered a straw or a glass to drink from. Asked for a glass and it was passed to me very abrubtly again. Not impressed! Tables were swamped with wasps which could be avoided if they were cleared. Almost every table had empty plates and glasses left out.
Just a nice place ,nice location friendly staff good services
Life can change fast...some months ago I still remember that night i got involved with investment I invested the last bit of money I had into Forex and now MRS Francesca Addison ,’ve grown it to more I could have imagined. The truth is, those who take risk will always get the highest rewards I doubted but I made a profit of $15,200 with an investment of $1,000 yes it real I made my withdrawal after 7days just as my account manager said the choice is yours! DM through Email:[hidden email] WhatsApp +17243203191: thank me later
Although the hot pie and cake were delicious my request for a refill of hot water for my tea pot was refused in fact I was informed I’d have to pay for another pot! Other customers were similarly annoyed especially as their teapot was not even full to begin with. Poor customer service!
Lovely bar with friendly staff would recomend
