I had an excellent experience at this restaurant with their high-quality fish and chips. I ordered the large cod and was pleasantly surprised by the enormous portion size. The fish was very fresh and cooked perfectly, with a crispy batter that held up even after the 5-minute walk back to the Premier Inn. My only complaint is the subpar ketchup brand - I would be willing to pay more for Heinz. View all feedback.

Family been going to the penguin fish chips for years. Something awful has happened after new owners took over. The fish is sold as Cod but I can safely say it is not! Probably Pollock or worse. Just got home after ordering and there’s 4 hairs in a reg portion. I live too far away to go back. Gross
During a recent visit to your restaurant, my teenage daughter placed our order, paid for the food and drinks, and then collected our beverages on the way out. However, she was mistakenly accused of not paying for the drinks by a staff member. After a brief check, it was confirmed that the payment had been made. The lack of apology from the staff member was quite embarrassing for my daughter and the other customers present. I suggest providing receipts to customers after they have made a payment to avoid similar misunderstandings in the future.
The fish and chips at this restaurant were disappointing. The batter on the fish was excessively hard and greasy, with very little actual fish inside. The only saving grace was the chips.
