The pub itself is beautifully decorated, and with the Christmas decorations, it felt particularly special, cozy, and welcoming. The staff were lovely, which made the experience even better. Every bite of the food was a pleasure to enjoy; the tartar sauce and herb sauce were especially remarkable, and I savored every mouthful. The Treakel Tart was the perfect finish to a wonderful meal. I will happily return in the future when I’m back in Winchester. I only wish this pub were closer to my home in London!

The welcome was warm and friendly, the ambiance was comfortable and cozy, and the food was excellent. Every staff member went above and beyond to ensure that our brief lunch break was truly enjoyable. If you're in the area, you must pay a visit—just remember to book in advance!
