Manjay serves modern Caribbean fare at The Citadel in Miami, marrying Haitian classics with inventive twists. Standouts include conch fritters, Coco Loco shrimp and generous jerk chicken bowls, plus vibrant vegan options—all fresh, made-to-order and good value. The atmosphere is chic and lively, ideal for casual dates or group outings, though music can be loud. Service is generally friendly but can be inconsistent, and ordering uses a phone-notification system. Overall, a contemporary, flavorful take on Caribbean cuisine with several must-try appetizers.

Absolutely delicious! We visited today and already can't wait to return. We tried the mofongo appetizer, which was fantastic, along with the Coco Loco shrimp and the avocado toast. We would gladly order everything again!

This Caribbean restaurant is anything but traditional! Their tagline, "modern Caribbean cuisine," truly reflects the dishes they serve. The flavors felt more like a fusion of different cuisines, which might be influenced by the Caribbean's diverse culinary heritage from colonization. For instance, the Jerk Chicken paired with coconut rice had hints of Asian inspiration, leading me to feel as if I should be eating it with chopsticks. It wasn't the classic Jamaican jerk chicken I grew up with, which is usually rich in spices and slow-cooked over a fire or grill. Instead, this version was breaded and reminiscent of a Caribbean twist on General Tso's chicken. Despite that, the food is of high quality and prepared fresh daily, made only when ordered. The bowls come with two sides, providing a generous portion and great value. I also noticed that these dishes have a bit of heat, which might be a consideration for those who are sensitive to spice. Overall, your taste buds will thank you for taking them on this flavorful journey!
