Fl Cafe - Miami Beach
Fl Cafe
Description
South Beach's dining scene is a mixed bag, with experiences varying widely among visitors. While some diners revel in delightful breakfasts and well-seasoned dishes that boast excellent presentation, others lament slow service and lackluster meals. Many highlight the warm, friendly staff who enhance the experience, though inconsistent service is noted. Standout menu items include waffles, skirt steak salad, and chicken quesadillas, yet poorly executed dishes like overcooked steak and burnt coffee tarnish the reputation of some establishments. Overall, while there are hidden gems worth revisiting, caution is advisable as not all eateries deliver on the vibrant culinary promise of South Beach.

The breakfast special before 11 am offers several delicious options to choose from. The breakfast was excellent and the staff was fantastic. It's a charming little place and I will definitely return.
On my first day in South Beach, I stopped by this restaurant. The staff was friendly and the menu had a good selection. I decided to try the pancakes for breakfast and they were decent.
I initially stopped at this restaurant for a beer on the way back from the beach, but ended up returning later that evening for dinner. The food was delicious - my friend loved the perfectly cooked ribs, and I enjoyed the tuna with rice, which came out like a terrine and was delicious. If I were to come back, I would definitely try the pasta and linguine bolognese, which was special and had a meaty, beautiful sauce. The prices were great as well, around half of what we paid the previous evening for dinner on Ocean Drive, but just as nice.
Had the waffles for breakfast. It was amazing. They were soft, fluffy and crunchy. The fruits on the side weren't as great. The rest of my family loved their dishes too. The service was ok. Would live to go back there.
Most restaurants in the strip are trash IMO. They have a basic menu, slightly non-bland foods, and high prices. My best friends and I ventured to FL Cafe because it was a block from out hotel and were surprised that 1, it wasn't packed and 2, it was amazing. The food was affordable, there was plenty of it, and it was very good. I ordered pancakes with strawberries, scrambled eggs and bacon. I think I also had a mimosa or some typical millennial alcoholic vacation beverage. I wish we would've gotten a chance to return but oh well. Next time I go to SoBe, this will be the move.
