Voo Doo BBQ & Grill - Metairie

Really liked it!. VooDoo can be a bit pricey for BBQ. But then again all BBQ (that's any good) tends to be spendy. I've had the Graveyard Platter, with Brisket and Sausage, w/2 sides. and had a difficult time finishing it. The sauces are good and you apply them yourself, so you control the amounts which I like. I would definately give it a shot if your in the mood for bbq.

Small but quaint place. Food was very good. First time eating Fried Gator. It was tender and tasty. Plentiful plate and very reasonable priced. Heather was very friendly and provided the best service anywhere I've been all week! Thank you Heather!!

NOLA's best BBQ. Located in the old Ground Pati on the interstate side of Vets behind East Buffet, Voodoo BBQ opens another outlet. I've yet to have bad BBQ at any of the Voodoos and again was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of meat being sold. The prices are slightly higher than they were a year ago, but considering the amount of meat they give you, it's still a good deal.<br/ <br/ Some options I think are too chainy things like potato skins, BBQ nachos, and their fried chicken strips. These odd BBQ items belong at a place like Wow Wingery, which is among the worst eating places in Louisiana. Voodoo would do better to reduce their menu, cutting the fat of these non traditional BBQ items. <br/ <br/ The new restaurant has a great interior, It is clean, large, sparse like a BBQ place should be, and has large screen plasma TVs throughout, including for their menus. The restaurant is split into three major sections, each with different types of service. The back room is an order at the counter set up. The front is more like a restaurant with service. There's also a very comfortable bar with well placed armed rests. <br/ <br/ The BBQ is simple and done perfectly. It's what BBQ should be.

Tried this place again after a poor experience last year. We got in late on Tuesday night and ordered room service from them really because it was close to the hotel and we were starving. The food was delivered fast, hot and fresh and i was actually surprised. Last night we decided to go to sit at the bar with a couple of my friends and met Heather. She is an excellent bartender !!!. The room service food was so much improved from my last visit that I tried it again., I ordered the giant pork sandwich (wasnt on special that day but they gave it for me anyway). Best BBQ I've had since we worked in Memphis three years ago. Great food, Great service, Great cocktails. Highly recommend this place to anyone who is in Metarie.
