Absolutely delicious food, great customer service! They are always so nice and attentive. Every time I get takeout for the family everyone loves it, definitely recommend this hidden little gem of Metairie. Btw we love your Peshwari Naan but can you add the Kashmiri Naan to your menu please ? My daughter loves cherry sweet naan and it is so hard to find. View all feedback.
What Meg Kristine doesn't like about Shyan's Kitchen:
Got take out; this is apparently $60 worth of food. Biryani wasn't even mixed thoroughly, I had to mix it myself. Chana masala and dal fry were not seasoned at all, zero flavor. Waste of time and money. Will never return. View all feedback.
Best food and taste . I loved it. Thankyou brothers
I don't usually leave reviews, but after a recent lunch meeting at this restaurant, I felt compelled to share my experience. The service was exceptional, but what truly stood out to me was a touching moment I witnessed. An elderly lady came in and appeared to be worried about having enough money to pay for her meal. She even asked to use the waiter's phone. At one point, she left without ordering any food, and the staff followed her outside. I thought she may have taken something, but it turned out her card didn't go through, and she was hungry. The staff caught up with her and gave her the food. It was a heartwarming display of kindness that reminded me of the good in people. We need more acts of compassion like this in the world. We enjoyed the food and the service. We had the chicken pakora which was lightly breaded and fried perfectly. The mango lassi was sour and sweet and the iced chai was delicious. Our entrees, channa chicken and goat karahi, were delious and came as a large portion. The naan and roti were good, I would get the garlic cilantro naan next time for more flavor. We finished the meal with rus malai, two small paneer balls covered in chilled creamy milk. The dessert was delicious but quite small. Still amazing overall!
Lots of food for a great price. One of the few places where you can get full and have plenty of left over for under $15. The ambiance is meh but that makes it all the more authentic.
Food is great and made fresh. Service good and very friendly. Food is mainly Indian and Mediterranean very good.
