I am from... read more My friends and I were in Messina on our way back from a small village on top of the mountain, Serro. I had just found a cousin I didn't know existed. I am from America). We were all exhausted when we came upon the restaurant. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by a very friendly waitress who understood what we were saying and who explained the menu to us. It was refreshing since we were staying in Palermo and the wait staff was not friendly. The food was delicious. Some of us had the pizza which was fantastic. One of us had a hamburger that had fries in the bun and she said it was fantastic as well. The prices were very reasonable. It was a great experience.

We found Tania's just up from our hotel and stop... read more On our way to Syracuse, me and my brother, 2 Australian tourists, stayed in Messina close to the train station. We found Tania's just up from our hotel and stopped for tea not expecting much. Well, it was probably the best pizza I've had since being in Italy 2 weeks) and I was served by the friendliest and most helpful guy. He gave us a map, showed us the highlights of Messina and turned our stay into a sightseeing one, not a stop off on the way to Syracuse one.
