I had pistachio pizza which h... read more Our family of 7 people ages 2 to 40 stopped at this little restaurant after our walking tour of Messina and it did not disappoint! I had pistachio pizza which has sauce made from ground pistachios and it was delish! Pizza, pasta, and seafood were all very good. Wait staff spoke very good english...only downfall is they only take cash. There is an ATM nearby that my husband ran to.

For Americans, think po boys and quesadillas, but the food here is so far beyond those terms as to render them meaningless. You also get a lot of food for your Euro, so don’t make the mistake I did and order three padines unless you are really hungry.

The location is beautiful, just below a sid... read more Book this restaurant during our last trip to Sicily on the recommendation of our hotel, and it was not disappointed. The location is beautiful, just below a side street from the main strip and in a beautiful courtyard. The staff is great and very traditional Sicilian, which I appreciated very much. It is great to only be spoken by some staff in Italian, it teaches you to make the effort to speak a different language! We ordered the Tuna Tartare and Mussels Au Gratin, both very fresh. For the main we shared the salt-baked lake bass, and it was stunning. One of the best pieces of fish I have eaten and would like to eat again and again. Divided a Tiramisu for dessert, and again it was beautiful. Very enjoyed the whole meal and would return absolutely!
