Rowan Fish
Description
Nestled in a bustling neighborhood, this restaurant embodies a mixed bag of culinary experiences. While some diners lamented over bland, watered-down curries and overcooked chicken, others rave about its delightful kebabs, fresh fish and chips, and prompt service. Many commend the generous portions and quality of meats, particularly the lamb shish, as a highlight. Despite occasional shortcomings in extras and freshness, the reasonable prices and friendly atmosphere keep customers returning. For those seeking reliable takeaway options, this establishment remains a popular choice, balancing the fine line between budget-friendly meals and a satisfying dining experience.

The food at this restaurant is excellent! I ordered a mixed starter (samosa, onion bhaji, and chicken tikka), chicken curry, naan bread, and Bombay Aloe for takeaway. It was easy to order online and my food was delivered promptly. I enjoyed every bite and can't wait to order from them again!
This must be the top Indian restaurant for takeout in south London. The flavors are fantastic, the portions are generous, and the naan bread is fabulous.
We discovered Rowan Tandoori during the first Covid wave in February 2020 and would now honestly never look anywhere else. The food is wonderful my favourite is Tarka Dall and it is perfect here! The naans, all meat dishes, sundries and veg are all fantastic. Always on time, always piping hot. But the most amazing thing is that every single member of their delivery team is so kind and friendly and generous. Our kids look forward to answering the door to them each Saturday that we order because they bring such positive community vibes along with them. They are just lovely people who make lovely food and we’re huge fans! Thank you Rowan Tandoori for being so awesome!!!
Disgusting watered down curry (you could smell the watered stock from yards). No flavours. Basic pilau and bog standard nan. Rubbish food. They should be ashamed.
Good for a dirty indian takeaway on the cheep side. I get food here often, and it's good for the price more or less, but I'm always left feeling the restaurant could do more. Examples; Popadams never come with any mint sauce etc, and I always have to request a large onion salad, else it's 1 tiny pot. The chicken pacers are always dry, never fresh enough for me. Though the sauce in the main dishes is pretty decent, the meat often tastes a bit batch cooked. Will I keep buying from here? Yes, but it's because I'm a bit of a mindless glutton rather than a true gourmand. I must say though that the service is always very prompt and friendly.
