Mio Posto - Merrick

Nasty servers. Felt like we were bothering them. Music so loud you can't even have a conversation. Laughable overpriced mediocre food. Would never come back and would never recommend this place. Brought a friend here from out of town and was completely embarrassed.

We've been coming to Mio Posto for years dating back to when their restaurant was in Oceanside. I had my wedding rehearsal dinner and my daughter's first birthday party there. The food is fantastic. Notables that my family loves include the Chilean sea bass, salmon with Dijon sauce, penne ala vodka, baked clams, fried calamari and then any traditional pasta dish. Something to note is it is not going to be cheap, but you get what you pay for.... Great Italian food that beats any local restaurant or pizza place. They have also now expanded into the store next to them as a catering room, so I plan on having another party with them in the future.

Worst Service I ever experienced, I called for them a reservation. They said it?s FIRST COME FIRST SERVE. I understand that part. When I got there, it was 6pm. There was so many empty tables indoor. They gave us a table OUTSIDE!! the music was so freaking loud.Our table was so unsteady, you weren?t able to eat your food properly. Our waiter, didn?t not even give us a smile to us. He would only show preference to the classic people Made us feel very uncomfortable at the restaurant. The food was delicious! I can?t complain about that. Would I go back and eat this place probably never. I recommend to save your money time!

I had my Baby Shower at Mio this past Saturday and was able to get their brand new party room. I almost don't want to give this secret away because I will need to use that room again and I am sure once word of mouth gets out it will fill up quickly! The food/ service /room was AMAZING. The staff was so accommodating and took great care of us. They moved the party in the perfect timing and my guests raved about the food. I looked at other places in the neighborhood and no where could you get the amount food for such a great price. We will always have our family parties at Mio moving forward!

Food great, service even better. Great Italian dishes. We were a group of 7 adults and 4 children and had a wonderful family style Italian dinner to celebrate a birthday.
