My family and I were on the lookout for a restaurant to dine at before attending a concert at Jones Beach. I stumbled across La Piazza in Merrick as a possible... read more My family and I were on the lookout for a restaurant to dine at before attending a concert at Jones Beach. I stumbled across La Piazza in Merrick as a possible option for us. This was my first time ever at the establishment. Upon arrival, there is aparking lot for the restaurant entrance and also a valet parking lot for the catering entrance. The restaurant provided afamily-friendly atmosphere and was boisterous in noise. My family and I ordered the Garden Salad for an appetizer, the GrilledSalmon, and the Cavatelli Napolitano. Each dining table already has grated cheese, red pepper flakes, and oregano. The food wasserved at a reasonable pace. I would most likely return when in the area!

The co... read more The Chicken Parmigiano was tough for both my partner I. The cheesy garlic bread was lacking garlic flavor and tough. It was almost like bread microwaved. The coke was out of syrup flavor. I was really disappointed. La Piazza in Plainview used to bevery good 10 yrs ago. I expected Merrick to rise to the occasion. They don't even serve antipasti salad. This was our secondvisit the first was for pizza that also lacked taste. The only positives were our wait staff, appetizers, dessert.
