My wife and I had dinner at Ritzy on a Thursday night. The restaurant was not too busy. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and provided great service. We chose the tapas platter for 2 which provided an interesting selection and was just the right size for us. We enjoyed all the tapas but particularly the combination of chorizo and scallops. We each had a cocktail the Long Island iced tea was excellent, not... View all feedback.
What Luke Davies doesn't like about Ritzy Wine + Tapas Bar:
After enjoying Ritzi for years, there was nothing very special about the restaurant last night leaving us quite disappointed.Although there were other things that weren’t great including the service, the biggest disappointment was the food.Hard to explain other than it was cooked without any love. Most main dishes just didn’t hit the mark and the desserts were the same. Like the Belgian waffles that were soft and dou... View all feedback.
Had taken a week before dinner at ritzy in merimbula. found the place online. it was a wonderful highlight of a week spent driving the coast of South East Australia. eating was great with a theme of tapas as sharing plates. we had filled mushrooms, bark meat and haloumi flat brot, grilled chorizo and scallops, pasta vongole with Italian sausage and 3 other dishes. there is a beautiful Italian flair to the dressed that we attributed to the wonderful host nanni. nanni was in the evening and very attentive, although it is easier because we sat at the bar. behind the bar, was also wonderfully engaging and accommodating, dieter. the girls running the floor were very...read more
Great place to go out for some cocktails !! We also had the Asian style oysters which were ok. Great atmosphere on a Saturday night. Good service and friendly staff.
Such a good find in Merimbula! We checked out the Ritzy wine and tapas bar on Monday night, such a great selection on their menu. We decided on the chorizo and haloumi skewers, kiwi scallops, goats cheese soufflé and the seared tuna, all were awesome picks but we particularly liked the tuna. It was so fresh and tasty and I really liked the sesame crumb.
We tried out Ritzy on a Monday night and it was quite busy. There is a lengthy menu of more substantial share food, generally larger than normal tapas. There are several attractive options and in the end we narrowed it down to chorizo and haloumi skewers (good), tempura prawns (great, though some entrails intact), mussels in tahini with walnuts (good size mussels, but sauce average), and bugs (great). The service was great, and the wine list is surprisingly long, with several good (and reasonably priced) by the glass options.
Excellent food. Nice sized tapas with superb flavours. The special was a chilli prawn dish with toasted sourdough the sauce was to die for. The lamb cutlets were tender and succulent with beautiful flavour. Chicken skewers were generous and delicious. Service from the attentive staff was perfect and you could tell these people really care about their food and your experience. Highly recommended.
