We got there a bit late, and the service was not bad. The food was not great, but passable. The main issue was that at the end of the meal, we found a roach walking on the wall right next to me. I killed it and the waiter ran over to say that they only recent fumigated. Still a roach at your table with a lame excuse. We paid completely and left, will never return there again.
I don't like sushi but by wife does so we come here once every other month for lunch and I get the chicken teriyaki. The ambiance on the patio is very nice with the moving water and lots of fans to keep cool. Staff is friendly and efficient menus are also available in English if needed
Hands down, this restaurant has the best nigiri, sashimi, rolls, and tempura I have had since moving to Mérida. Be forewarned that their deserts are HUGE. The restaurant itself is gorgeous—the coy pond, the tree, and its design are exquisite. Why, then, am I only giving four stars and not 5? The service and attention by the staff were inconsistent. I had to keep asking for more water as they would remove the glass. No one asked if I wanted an additional beverage after I finished my lemonade, nor did they ask if anyone wanted more water. We also had to flag them for everything: water, drinks, dessert, and even the check. We mentioned when making the reservation that we were celebrating a birthday. No one acknowledged the same upon our arrival or during our entire meal. That’s a little disappointing. The music they played when we first arrived was insipid covers of some famous American music. Later in the evening, they changed the music, which was much better. I will return for the food, but I hope they tighten up their service.
My friend of mine had a lovely lunch there today. Even though it was very hot outside, the terrace was well ventilated and very comfortable. Iced green tea, miso soup, and one of their specialty rolls made a great lunch for about $35 US. Very sweet service, too the waiter spoke some English and offered us an English menu.
