M boyfriend and I asked the italien woman in our Hostel where to get some nice italien food because we were sick of eating mexican food and she recommanded us this place, which is her brothers restaurant and it was amazing. Really nice stuff and delicious food! Their Pasta is fresh and handmade and they even had real parmesan. We really wanna go there one more time and I would totally recommand it to everyone who likes italien food and doesnt want to eat tacos of burritos over and over again.

Fresh Pasta cooked perfectly. Sauces were also very good. I am Italian and very picky about my Italian food and I would come back anytime. Need I say more? Not a fancy place, but great value, service and food.

We are frequent visitors to Dadaumpa. Its right around the corner from our house in Merida, and we tell all our guests to go there too. The eggplant parmesan is delicious even if you are not an eggplant fan. Great wine pourers......they don't scrimp. Very good portions, and delicious. YUM. GO here.

My husband and I dined twice at this quiet, spacious restaurant located in an old house in the historic center of Merida. From the looks of it, it may have been barnhouse. On both occasions, the food and wine were very good, excellent pasta, tasty pizza and good, healthy salad. The tiramisu was a treat! We chatted briefly with the owner who is from Parma and opened 4 years ago. He seemed to have quite a following of regular customers, both locals and foreigners.

We have been thinking of going to Dadaumpa for some time but don't like going to centro because of the parking and noise. Last night we made an exception and are we ever glad we did.Dadaumpa is not "the" place to go to be see or be seen. It is a place to go if you enjoy delicious, home made pasta and sauces at extremely reasonable prices. We had recently reviewed another Italian restaurant near Santa Anna and went away not so impressed. Not so last night. We spoke with the owner - he also owns a bakery back in Italy and brought his recipes with him. uses only the freshest ingredients purchased daily. The meat ravioli was divine. I can't recall the name of what my wife had but it looked like lasagna (but wasn't) - bottom item on left side of the menu of that helps. The sangria was excellent, the service even better. The entire place could use a big renovation but then the prices would go up, it would become trendy and we'd never get a table. Marcello - keep everything the way it is, please. We will be back as you are our new officially favorite Italian Restaurant in Merida.
