A spectacularly decorated and semi renovated antique house, with some of the crumbling elements preserved and incredibly charming. With a gorgeous garden terrace. Impeccable design. And food to match. Local ingredients creatively prepared. Not outlandish, but incredibly good and with surprising touches. We loved the octopus tiradito, the crunchy eggplant with jocoque (like yogurt) and almonds, the roasted vegetables with pistachio pesto, and the strip steak with savory applesauce and burnt butter and the incredible white chocolate tart with berries and coconut ice cream. A high quality wine list (we loved the Mexican red blend from Corona del Valle). Highly professional service (Melissa was attentive and knowledgeable). The location is a bit off the tourist track in Itzimná, but is a quick Uber from downtown and actually in walking distance from hotels on Montejo. This is a Mérida must for a special night out (and not overpriced).
