Ordered the bacon and egg roll to take away.. not a bad price either, I waited in their relaxing front of house near the register and was greeted with an awesome B&E, it had relish, bacon, eggs (that still had runny yolks) cheese and came with a side of crunchy house made potato chunks. I took that to Dixon park and watched the waves roll by then proceeded out for a few waves. Awesome! Will be back many times. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Drift Cafe:
Wanted a place were it was easy to park so had heard of Drift so decided to give it a visit ...walked in and found a table ,no greating by staff ,,,,,we sat and waited .then realised we had to order at the cash register and pay first ...nothing on the tables to advise you of this ..... well we ordered. Not the best service and a good wait time even though it wasn't busy ..Coffee good ,not great,but poor service ....s... View all feedback.
One of my favorite places in Newcastle to grab a coffee. The coffee is always delicious and the staff are super friendly. They have a loyalty card too!

By far one of the most delicious and consistent coffee you could get in Newcastle. I had the "Green smoothie bowl" which is full of rich goodness. Such a fresh and tasty breakfast option with fruit and muesli on top. You can also get this for eat in or take away
Friends advised to try Drift cafe at Merewhether so we gave it a go yesterday. It's to best recommendation we had for years. Great food and service at a reasonable price. Lunch time was busy but the kitchen staff got though in a timely way. We have the Bali burger and the vege tacos which was fabulous. The coffee was great also. It easy to see why the Drift cafe is so popular with locals.
Great service, nice environment, and good foodStopped by for lunch and ordered the lunch special pork and coleslaw burger with fries.
