The fish was excellent and there were plenty of well-cooked chips that didn't seem like leftovers from lunch. The veggie burger was also great. We travelled over 300 miles to visit family in Street and couldn't wait to have fish and chips. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. The fish was overcooked, chewy and cold. And the chips were dried out and cold. A big let down. View all feedback.
I have been having fish and chips from The West End Fish Bar since i was little (I'm now It is by the far the best local Fish and Chip Shop. I normally order Haddock, yes you have to wait for it to be...cooked, but you wont be disappointed. I always struggle to eat a hole portion of chips, but asking for a half/child's portion has never a problem. If you are in Street and fancy Fish and Chips I would highly recommend them. They also know where your fish has been line caught and by which boat !!
Excellent fish and chips at a reasonable price, with generous portions. Can be difficult to park at, so it's usually worth waiting until a little after rush hour.
Food fantastic and web site to order and pay fantastic during these difficult times no waiting and no having to queue and break any new rules
Wow what a wonderful fish and chip shop, very friendly so lovely and clean, very friendly staff as well. I ordered a large cod and chips and this was cooked fresh.The fish was massive and the batter was outstanding. Never had such a great fish and chips ever, plus very good price.Would recommend this wonderful place to everyone .
Highly recommend this take away fish and chip shop. Large cod was very big and extremely flavourful. You could taste how fresh it was. The batter is very light and doesn't detract from the taste of the fish nor does it make you feel bloated or over filled. Highly recommended! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £1–10
