my wife and my own were in the caravan park in our own touring car behind the car and horses hospitable at the bank weekend in the august 2015 (we were there for a high time near shepton mallet) we were traveled by liverpool, I can only say that we ate every night in the pub and found the food to be delicious the owners mike and dawn were very welcome. the staff was very friendly. infact was the whole stay wonderful.... I would love to review this pub it looked great when we arrived at 1 pm for lunch. Sadly we were told we could not have lunch as they were short staffed. This was perplexing as there were only about 5 tables with customers who were already eating and no reserved signs on the empty tables. Stopped from yesterday after a 200 mike trip to get a home mobile, eating nice portion sizes tasty staff were friendly they even gave my buddy, which recommended an absolute ganet some extra chips
As a family we have visited this pub for all different occasions. not even we had a bad meal, every time the food is delicious and spot on. it is quite expensive, atmosphere, personal and peculiarities are all beautiful. especially dawn, when she makes me the best banoffee pie ever! very welcoming and friendly, but I would advise the booking as it is constantly busy.
Today for lunch. good welcome good beer and good food. the weather was terrible, it is february so the open fire was very appreciated
Had a lovely time and food was great! So impressed going back again with 16 others for my birthday
