What Jessica Betschart likes about The Lion At Pennard:
A bit pricier than the average but to be fair the food was very good; the roast beef was above average quality. Delicious pudding too, not too sweet full of flavour. Gorgeous interior. The outside seating area is a bit of a wasted space, get a garden designer on it as it could be delightful. And in a beautiful part of our country- not too far from Shapwick Heath which is one of the best walking spots I've ever been t... View all feedback. What Katharine L doesn't like about The Lion At Pennard:
The only plus about eating here was being able to take our dog. Despite telling the waitress that I intensely dislike spiced food, my expensive rib eye steak had hot peppers pounded into it, and there was something very hot on the plate. Very disappointing that excellent quality ingredients might as well have been curried!! Not everyone likes spice, some of us like to be able to taste our food! View all feedback.

read moreNestled in a charming setting, this pub-restaurant offers a promising atmosphere with friendly staff and a varied menu. However, experiences with the food have been mixed. While some guests praise delightful dishes like tender beef and exceptional starters, others find underwhelming offerings, including flavorless roast dinners and improperly cooked steak. Despite these inconsistencies, the establishment garners appreciation for its dog-friendly policy and attentive service, making it a welcoming choice for pet owners. With potential for improvement, particularly in the kitchen, this venue remains a worthwhile stop for those seeking a pleasant dining experience.
