What User likes about Penn:
are obviously very crowded. the place had a great atmosphere. Once we got into the pub, a man who sits on the door waved. I have the impression that he was regular. I liked the fact that I saw him every time he looked at me. The historical venue was intriguing, but the food we had for dinner last night was quite disappointing. The chicken in the vegetarian dish was a letdown, and the fricasse with overcooked vegetables was very poor. We overheard other diners expressing their disappointment as well, but we were not given a heartfelt apology like they were. After this experience, we are not likely to recommend this restaurant to others. View all feedback.

read moreNestled in a historic venue, The Crown at Wells offers a mixed culinary experience. While some diners rave about the friendly service and diverse menu options—the roast pork loin and satisfying nacho platters stand out—others express disappointment with inconsistent food quality, like dry sandwiches and overcooked vegetables. Despite occasional service hiccups, the warm atmosphere and well-maintained facilities make it a inviting spot for both casual lunches and festive dinners. Whether you're enjoying a drink in the charming outdoor seating or indulging in hearty meals, the pub serves as a balanced destination for both locals and visitors alike.
