The rooms are small and the whole hotel needs to be refreshed to be marching the price for the small room they are asking for (434EUR) for a room on the lake. Yet the boats and the car park for the ‘ferry’ is next to the hotel and thus you get some noise.Breakfast is ok such is the service, staff is nice but overall the hotel is somewhat not at the price/ level.

The hotel has seen better days, the room was... read more We were so glad we booked a lake view as it was well worth it and I wouldn’t have wanted to overlook the main road. The hotel has seen better days, the room was big but faded with very old fashioned gold colour scheme. The bathroom as very narrow and the loo and bidet were in the way of the shower so it was difficult to access. The bed linens was sheets and blankets, no duvet, which we didn’t like. The staff were generally friendly and helpful and the meals on the whole good. One waiter looked very grumpy but the younger ones were helpful and the porter and barman very friendly. It’s in an excellent location right by the ferries and bus stop and these is a very convenient shop next to it.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful the restaurant served vast amounts of mediocre food. Would have been better to have less food and better quality . Six courses four courses too many .

Lovely view directly overlookin... read more We stayed here for a week and loved it. Very helpful and friendly staff. Wonderful breakfasts, with eggs cooked anyway included. Lovely view directly overlooking the lake. Great position, easy walk to the piazza and restaurants in the evenings, and right by the boat stop to go to Bellagio and Varrena etc. Often had a pianist, harpist or singer in the bar in the evenings. Very comfortable rooms. Definitely recommended.

Weather was hot... read more A nice hotel right next to the ferry going to other villages on lake. Room was small, but not too important because we spent little time there. Weather was hot and air conditioning was excellent. Took ferry to Varenna (lovely old village , Bellagio (very crowded! , and return all for 12 Euros each. Pool and surroundings are pleasant, with fine views, and lounges available. Hotel staff professional, friendly helpful. Free Parking is available in front of hotel, but incredibly packed in, so be prepared to give 20 minutes notice or more for taking out your car. Better yet, why take it out? Center of town and public beaches (rocky and small is a 5-10 minute walk. Didn’t eat at Hotel restaurant, but bar had an excellent local beer on tap. A bit pricey, but then you are in one of the world’s most beautiful places.
