El Mezcal - Memphis

Our first visit to this restaurant was terrible. The sweet tea tasted old and moldy. My date asked for a fresh glass, but even after telling the waitress it wasn't fresh, the second glass was the same. The tea was not good at all! Additionally, my date ordered beef enchiladas but received chicken enchiladas instead. It seemed like the cooks weren't paying attention. The waitress was nice and promptly corrected the mistake. However, the lemon slice on my tea glass was disgusting. The steak I ordered was inedible, full of gristle and fat. Overall, our experience was not good. I would not recommend this place.

I wanted to celebrate being a mother and this restaurant was amazing. The rice was perfectly cooked, the avocado was fresh, and the steak was juicy and tender. I ordered a steak quesadilla and the peach/mango drinks were the best on the rocks! I will definitely be back as soon as possible!

The food was delicious! I had the chicken, cheese, and rice dish, which was prepared perfectly. It was a great value at $13 and the portion size was generous. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly. The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere and was very clean. We considered ordering the guacamole dip, but went with the cheese dip instead. I would have liked more cilantro in the salsa. This was my first visit, but I will definitely be returning and recommending it to others.

I went to el mezcal a long time ago and became sick like a dog. it's dared never come back. never say, ever returned today and, not to my surprise, was once again disappointed. After waiting dreadfully from the beginning, I placed my food order with a terrible distracted waitress. it is not surprising that false foods were delivered to my table. when I corrected the waiting staff in the delivery of incorrect food, I was asked by the waitress about my order. ? impressively bad everywhere.

Great fun and definitely looking forward to next time!!
