I was searching for Memphis restaurants that offer vegan options and chose De Javu. I ended up enjoying both lunch and dinner there during my trip, and I highly recommend it to anyone in search of vegan or New Orleans Creole cuisine. The vegan entrees were deliciously seasoned and perfectly cooked. The lively atmosphere in this cozy restaurant during dinner service is truly infectious. It was a fun experience!

If you're in Memphis for the BBQ, but you're in the downtown area and craving something different, this restaurant will transport you straight to a New Orleans neighborhood. My wife and I spent 20 years living in New Orleans, and dining here truly felt reminiscent of that vibrant city. A great bonus is the extensive vegetarian options on the menu, all of which are delightful. I ordered the veggie plate, which included four delicious vegetable sides, along with a cup of seafood gumbo. My wife chose the catfish topped with crawfish étouffée. We also shared a grilled boudin and concluded our meal with bread pudding. I highly recommend this place!

The service and food were excellent. The staff was extremely attentive to our needs. One server, Marshall, even took the time to bless the food for us.

Our waiter Nile was excellent, he was very professional and provided great insight about the menu. Highly recommend De Javu if you enjoy good New Orleans cuisine.

I loved the food as well as the service at Dejavu. My husband is a critic when it comes to New Orleans food since he's from Louisiana. He loved the taste and the spices of the food. I would recommend if you love New Orleans cruisine it's a must!! The location is great also.
