The food at this restaurant was excellent. While the portions may not be huge, the presentation and flavor were spot on. The deviled eggs with salmon were a particular standout dish. The drinks were also top-notch. Overall, a great dining experience. View all feedback.
What Bryan doesn't like about Alchemy:
Is suppose to be one of the nicer bars in Memphis. They weren't serving alcohol on a Saturday. They did offer us food. The staff was nice. But we dropped off our baby with a sitter on a weekend to find it closed. View all feedback.
First beautiful weekend in Memphis with no rain. Love having brunch here. Always wonderful.
Popped in here on a business trip to Memphis, quite by accident. Late Friday evening and this was the first place that looked good. Excellent find. Food was very good with some interesting choices that were tasty. Drink menu was interesting as well. I found myself trying to come up with an excuse to go back, throughout the weekend.
Food was good but a bit pricey for the portions but the quality was good. Service was a bit slow at times yet felt rushed at other times
I do love this place. Everything were so nice. Their happy hour offers are outstanding. Great beer selection and very delicious tapas.
My wife and I chose Alchemy for our anniversary dinner based on the recommendation of friends. We arrived at 1900 and were seated at a high top immediately. The waiter was prompt and attentive, and the drink menu is extensive. Our chosen seasonal cocktails arrived promptly and were delicious. They are moderately expensive, but no more so than any number of similar establishments in the area. They get an A+ as a cocktail/tapas bar. The dining menu, on the other hand, was somewhat lacking. Perhaps it was lack of research on my part, but I expected a more extensive menu. Instead, the best options were small plates to share, which was fine, but not what I'd hoped for as an anniversary dinner location. I think you'd be safe with any of the small plates and drinks, but I would opt to dine elsewhere for a proper dinner. Simply my opinion, and as with most things, your mileage may vary.
