The menu is simple but executed perfectly. The service is friendly and welcoming. We have been here twice now and can't wait to come back for more. The fish cakes, satay sticks, masaman curry, green curry, and yellow crab curry were all amazing and presented beautifully. It is clear that a lot of care goes into preparing each dish.

We ordered 3 dishes dessert and not one of them disappointed. The honey duck curry was very unique with a refreshing splash of fruit. The spicy crispy pork was exploding with flavour. The crispy barramundi was made perfectly with a light and crispy batter. The customer service was friendly and attentive. Would definitely come back here again!

The food here is Super delicious from Entree to Main and Dessert.. the Roti with Satay Sauce, Spicy Chicken Wings, Thai Donut with Pandan Custard Dip, Three Flavoured Barramundi, Chu Chee Salmon, Thai Milk Tea, Thai Fried Rice and Pineapple Fried Rice are our favourites. These are among the food we always order when we visit Vela Thai. My family and I have been here many times and we will definitely visit again and I 100% recommend to everyone. A must try. What more can a person ask for. Definitely a hidden gem in Bay Street Port Melbourne.
