Cute and funky downstairs cocktail bar, great layout, with a few different seating options to accommodate groups of different sizes. Staff are friendly, they serve an awesome range of cocktails, beers and wines and it seems to be a popular meet-up point for locals. I had the privilege to have a conference opening at Charlie's Bar. The canapes were superb and the atmosphere absolutely fantastic. It offers visitors a unique glimpse into Melbourne's vibrant night life!
We arrived earlier than expected at Charlie's bar and the staff were on their break. They still took the time to seat us, grab a cocktail and when the kitchen opened took our order for some beautiful meatballs and bread and dip plate. Cocktails were Devine and will definitely be going back!
Love this bar, great location downstairs in charming Hardware lane. Very atmospheric, dark and cool. Attentive staff who made us feel welcome and happy. Eddie and Daniel need a special mention. We would love to make a bar like this our go-to when meeting friends

Was not the best choice we made for dinner. Food took a while. Kids steak Chips were under cooked.... Last thing a child needs is seeing blood out of meat on a plate. Lovely waiter told our daughter she will get a suprise. To then return with nothing. Our main meals were not heated up enough. Shank and pork belly, it didn 't seem busy so I would have thought more attention to detail on the food for the time it took. This restaurant could have been a huge success down hardware lane with the right passion. I do not recommend. Price per person: $140–160 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2
