Was Anonym at Ten Square Cafe a mag?
Nestled on a peaceful side street in the food-loving area of Hardware Lane, this place was the perfect way to kick off the morning! The coffee was excellent, and the chili crab scrambled eggs were absolutely delightful. View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Ten Square Cafe:
The food was great, but I was disappointed with the service at Ten Square Cafe. I had booked a table for six to celebrate my birthday, and we were rushed out within just 1 hour and 15 minutes of being seated. The cafe was quite loud, and the staff seemed to be under a lot of tension, which affected the overall atmosphere. It wasn't a welcoming environment for enjoying a pleasant time with friends. --- Located on Hardware Lane among other popular brunch spots, this restaurant boasts a lovely interior that set high expectations for our visit. Unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to them. We ordered the Cured Salmon with Avocado ($22), Chili Crab Scrambled Eggs ($21), and Glazed Beef Cheek ($26). In terms of flavor, the Chili Crab Scrambled Eggs were quite predictable and not as exciting as I had hoped. While they were creamy and juicy, at $21, they felt rather plain and unremarkable. The Cured Salmon and Avocado dish was decent; the salmon was juicy and savory, and the crispy kale was an unexpected, delightful addition. The Glazed Beef Cheek was impressive in presentation, resembling a dish you'd find at a high-end steakhouse, served alongside potato hash, asparagus, and parsnip puree. Overall, the beef was juicy and well-prepared. I personally don't believe this place deserves a 4.5-star rating on Zomato. While the interior is modern and stylish, the brunch offerings felt somewhat standard and lacked excitement. The only highlight of our visit was the staff; they were incredibly friendly and attentive, even during the busy service. The restaurant features a fantastic menu and a stunning interior that is sure to brighten your day. I tried the miso-braised pork shoulder eggs benedict, and it was absolutely amazing—what an incredible dish! The addition of the waffle added a unique and delicious twist that you don’t usually see with eggs benedict. My coffee was spot on, and my friends thoroughly enjoyed their meals as well. If you’re in the area, this is definitely a place you should visit!
The staff here are wonderful and the service is quick. The chicken and waffles were tasty and very filling. You can’t go wrong with a classic eggs Benedict. We’ll definitely return for the hot cake!
Best cafe in Melbourne by far! Tucked in an iconic laneway, this cafe has great food and is staffed by some amazing people, special shout out to Pim, Chundra and all the chefs! Highly recommend the Cured Salmon and Avacado dish, and the coffee art is a must see. Check it out, you won't regret it. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Brunch Price per person: $20–40
