**Restaurant Review: A Mixed Bag Experience** This restaurant offers a cozy ambiance and an authentic Japanese dining experience, with a range of delicious dishes, particularly the BBQ options. Guests commend the melt-in-your-mouth meat quality, though some found the service disappointing, citing forgetfulness and poor communication between staff. While the seating may feel cramped, the reasonable pricing and lower costs for all-you-can-eat options make it appealing. Highlights include the salmon carpaccio and sukiyaki, though freshness concerns with some items persist. Ultimately, while it may not be perfect, it remains a worthwhile choice for Japanese BBQ enthusiasts.

Was Ennis Sigler at Takumi Japanese Restaurant a mag?
Good restaurant, a little bit expansive but authentic. Karaage(fires chicken) was my favourite, sukiyaki (not too sweet which is good) taste good and you can cook your own (we added one portion of pork belly and it taste as good as beef). The drinks are also satisfying. View all feedback.

What Felicia Little dislikes about Takumi Japanese Restaurant:
The service was excellent and the ambiance was cozy and intimate. The only downside was the slightly cramped seating arrangement, but overall it was a wonderful dining experience. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to try an authentic Japanese tasting menu. View all feedback.

The wagyu beef all-you-can-eat option was delicious and the DIY charcoal grill was a fun and smokeless experience.

My aunt and uncle own this restaurant, and I have loved every moment spent enjoying their delicious Teppanyaki and fun Karaoke nights.

13/09/18<br/ Went again last night. This time, instead of ordering from the menu, I asked the wait staff what was good to eat. They recommended the beef tataki, salmon carpaccio, and black cod for starters and porterhouse, scotch fillet, and oyster blade for mains accompanied with mixed salad.<br/ OMG...seriously...these guys know their stuff!<br/ When in doubt, always ask what’s good on the day!! <br/ Walk out a happy chap and the 3 customers with me said it’s the best beef they’ve had in Australia! <br/ Well done takumi team! Keep up the good work!!<br/ <br/ <br/ <br/ <br/ Honestly...the BEST wagyu Japanese bbq in Melbourne! Their Premium beef is the best beef I’ve ever had in Melbourne. <br/ Porterhouse steak, scotch fillet, tri tip, eye fillet and premium oyster blade...OMG! Every bite was so tender and juicy and so YUMMY! Genuine charcoal grill meant the meat also absorbed some smokiness flavour which made it taste even better!<br/ I’ve tried all the Japanese bbq in Melbourne and this is the one I keep coming back to. <br/ The quality of the meat is the best I’ve had for m9+ and the price is so much cheaper than all the others...like at least 40% less like for like!<br/ Service is always fantastic. My expectations for service isn’t like other people. All I need is when I want something, a wait staff is there to accommodate. I know other people expect silver spoon service but it’s a Japanese bbq...it’s all about you, your company, and the food! If you expect silver service, go pay double at fine dining restaurants. <br/ Everyone must go to takumi and try their premium menu. You will not regret it!<br/ Keep up the good work Takumi team!
