Was Debby K at Sung's Kitchen a mag?
This hidden gem is located in Franklin Street away from the hustle and bustle of the restaurants in Elizabeth St. They have an extensive menu and all the dishes we ordered were nice. The star of the night was the egg white dish. This seemingly simple dish have great chewy texture and seafood flavour. Will definitely come back again! br/ View all feedback.

What Melissa Lakin dislikes about Sung's Kitchen:
Abbiamo cenato in questo ristorante cinese nell'ultima serata passata a Melbourne. Frequentato per lo più da ospiti asiatici siamo stati serviti in maniera abbastanza cordiale. Il servizio è stato relativamente veloce ma con delle pecche. Un piatto richiesto esplicitamente vegetariano è giunto con delle crevettes...il personale ha in seguito provveduto a cambiarlo, il secondo piatto è giunto piccantissimo nonostante... This restaurant provides great service and excellent attention to detail. They constantly replace plates, provide fresh wine glasses, and keep drinks topped up. The menu offers a unique selection of dishes, deviating from the typical offerings found in Chinatown. There is plenty of variety, although it is important to note that the menu descriptions are straightforward - if a dish does not mention vegetables, it will likely consist of just meat or seafood with sauce. Some reviewers have noted that the portions are smaller for the price, but many find the quality justifies the cost. The food is not greasy, with options like salt and pepper calamari and fried rice standing out for their delicious flavors without any heavy or oily residue. They offer both licensing and BYO options ($10 per bottle) and have a 25% discount in the entertainment book, up to $35. Overall, this restaurant comes highly recommended.

One of the best Chinese restaurant in Melbourne. They have quite an extensive menu.  Get ready to get your hands dirty cause there's no way of eating these crabs without using your hands. The tea smoked duck in the sweet and sour sauce is also swimming in flavor. The service is good and the place is clean. Although it’s definitely not the cheapest Cantonese food in town but this place worth a try.

On a raining day that was slightly cold, hubby and I decided to head to this place for our date night. We a had the 3 course Peking duck deal. Luckily I did preorder when I called up to make reservations otherwise it would have been sold out! The deal entailed 12 pieces of pecking duck pancakes with all the right trimmings, stir fried duck noodles or rice and pipping hot duck bones and tofu soup. All 3 courses were absolutely delicious! The duck slices in the pancakes were thick and juicy with the skin still slightly crispy. The soup was nourishing and hot, just what I felt like on a cool day. The noodles were a bit firm but the flavours were still nice. If anything, I would request for reduce salt on the dishes as both the noodle and soup were more on the salty side. The waitresses were very attentive and did not hesitate to add some hot water to the soup when I requested to make it less saltier. The place was packed when we were leaving. Will definitely be returning soon to try out other dishes!

Omg this place is so delicious! We ordered 5 dishes and all of them were great. I am still slurping over the seafood beancurd dish. Soft silky tofu with little prawns in egg gravy sauce. Yum!
