A friend and I went there after reading an article, it is tucked away opposite Dockland Library. We ordered coffee, Nutella doughnut and a ricotta cannoli. The coffee and food was great. For us the service was not there, there were approximately 3 people in the cafe when we were there. There was one guy who worked there, who was sitting at one of the tables with his laptop, he wasn't very friendly and we felt he was bothered by use sitting at his table (large table). The person who served us was ok, but appeared to want to move us along even though there was hardly anyone there. We felt like the staff thought they were to 'cool' to interact with us. Anyhow we made the trek from the other end of Collins St and were really looking forward to it. We will not be going back as we were not made to feel like our custom was wanted.
This cafe/restaurant was recommended by a friend to go and try their new venue close to where we were staying. Checked out their facebook page to see the gorgeous food and bombelone pastries (that my friend recommended). So we went today around midday (once we found an elusive car park). Lovely venue with open kitchen and great fresh produce on view. We ordered 2 paninis and bombelones. Our food arrived a few minutes with a little pickled veg as a side (which I must say were very very nice). The paninis were amazing. Great fresh salad and amazing sausage on mine.Thinking on going again tomorrow morning for breakfast before I head home....would recommend this place to everyone. Great family atmosphere, with lovely staff and great food.
