Although there... read more We called into the Melbourne Public Bar for lunch on Sunday afternoon with 3 children. The atmosphere was great with the double height ceilings. Although there was no children's menu available we ordered off the "To Share" menu. The wedges were chunky and crunchy. Unfortunately the dips weren't to the children's liking but the adults finished them off. Some more pita bread for the amount of dip served would have been better. The dumplings and the spicy chicken wings were both delicious. We enjoyed the live music and his selection of songs. We were dismayed that Victoria is behind compared to South Australia regarding laws restricting smoking in areas where food is served because the seats covered in furs and under the gas heaters looked invited except for the presence of the smoke pollution.

We have been here many times before, and always impressed by the great food.

The... read more Had an amazing bottomless carvery a few weeks ago. Honestly can’t stop thinking about how good the food was, need to making another booking to go back asap! The venue is lovely, and the service was fantastic, we had cocktails too which were amazing, some of the best in Melbourne. Our main interaction was with a young lady with blonde short curly hair in a shirt , possibly a manager? who brought our drinks over and stopped to have a chat, it was my sisters birthday, and she made a real fuss over her about it, and brought her over some free drinks, which really made my sisters day, and the small act of kindness was really appreciated. Thanks for some amazing food and drinks to celebrate my sisters birthday. Cannot wait to come back Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
