What Nick P dislikes about Horn Please:
No matter where you go for Indian food, it all seems to be the same gravy with a choice of ingredient. The curry dishes arrived quickly, which is never a good sign. I had trouble distinguishing between the butter chicken and eggplant dishes, as they both seemed old and unappetizing. The dhal was bland, and the portions were very small. Overall, the food lacked flavor and spice. The staff were also not very attentive.... View all feedback.
Cheerful atmosphere with friendly and caring waiters providing efficient prompt service and delicious food. There is a small range of carefully chosen dishes which are picturesque but with sumptuous interesting and enticing flavours. Prices are reasonable for the amount and range of food.
Everything is delicious about this place. The food is to die for: rich, sparse, sumptuous, sharp. You can take the kids. You can be kind of posh. You can drink. You can avoid it. You can go for the Sunday night all-you-can-eat cheap extravaganza but you also dine a la carte. It's warm and cosy and smartly decorated. A great easy date night joint too. Also kind of classy - and all because the food is a knock-out. Even if you ain't really into Fitzroy North style of hispter doucheyness, the food silences all criticisms. Highly recommended.
An excellent Indian place in the heart of North Fitzroy, really nice staff and amazing food. Can be a little noisy though.
Horn Please – A Bold Bite of India in Melbourne From the moment you walk in, Horn Please hits you with those unmistakable Indian street vibes — colourful, cheeky, and full of character. It’s like stepping into a little slice of Delhi right in the heart of Melbourne. We dove into a feast that delivered on flavour and then some: Smoky Tandoori Chicken – tender, juicy, and packed with that classic chargrilled punch. Crispy Fried Cauliflower – a total surprise hit, tossed in a sticky, spicy glaze we couldn’t stop picking at. Signature Creamy Dal – comforting, rich, and soulful; everything you want in a bowl of lentils. Naan Basket – worth the hype and then some. Fluffy, golden, and perfect for scooping up every last bite. If you’ve been craving Indian comfort food with a twist — this is your sign. Come hungry, leave happy. Horn Please knows how to serve bold flavours and even bolder vibes.
