I have been coming to this restaurant for about 2 years and previously had a different favorite restaurant but this restaurant won me over. The broken rice with grilled chicken is the best I have ever had. We tried individual dishes for the first time and the beef with ginger and shallots were as good as any Chinese restaurant we had been to. I have been to many Vietnamese restaurants in Melbourne. Without a doubt, the main essentials are the following - "crispness, freshness, zest and flavour".Unfortunately this restaurants fails on all 4 points. The food seems very watery here and the flavour comes on too late. Footscray is known for its diverse range of Asian cuisine, and this restaurant fits right in with that category.
I don't usually eat Vietnamese cuisine (not sure why), but I really enjoyed this restaurant and will likely become a regular diner here.
This is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant out of all the options on Hopkins/Barkly. I come here for all of my non-pho cravings.
Terrific Rice Noodle Soup that was tasty, fresh and delivered hot
