Before living in place, we thought we would be coppersmithed to dinner (been to all the other pubs in south melbourne. looks really nice from the outside, obvio... read more Before living in place, we thought we would be coppersmithed to dinner (been to all the other pubs in south melbourne. looks really nice from the outside, obviously through renovation and going through the door, not disappointed. boutique and smart with white marble. bar and tables, copper lighting, really welcoming and perfect for an evening meal or drinks (not their usual loud sister pub). boutique enough to deter the reef reef round, but not too boutique to be snobby and stiff, good mix. we ordered the chicken liver parrot to start and the bark wellington from the special menu. If I consider how good it was, I can't understand why it didn't make its place on the actual menu. the bark meat was so tender and cooked for perfection (I still think about how good it was for the price of $60 to share, extraordinary worth! comes with the delicious creamy mashe and an salad. if I could find something negative, it would be more jus (in a small crawl on the side, maybe a sweetheart instead of salat and 2 bigger teller errors to eat of large selection of wein and beer. In view of the old negative reviews, I would say that coppersmith had a nasty up and a change of management and may have since. there is a dach and the accomodation online looks beautiful, very boutique. we're safe back.

The interior is modern and inviting, the staff were very friendly and eager to serve.We had the bar snack menu as we too late for the full kitchen menu. We ordered Cheseburger, Fries and Fish & Chips, they were served promptly and well presented and tasted fantastic.Makes us wonder what the full menu would be like, ill have to come back for another go one evening.The drinks were cold and fresh with a huge selection available. One thing i did notice, the drink prices aren't all that crazy, the food and drinks were both reasonably priced for an Inner city establishment.We would recommend a visit, it is a pretty good spot. The only thing we didn't do was hit the roof top bar, maybe next time.
