I've been here a few times and always been impressed. The first time I went they made a very good impression, as both my friend and I have severe food allergies. They were attentive to this and communicated openly about the concerns we had and any allergen information that was available. Very, very impressed. On my following visits the food has always been great, service is quick and friendly, and the prices are grea... View all feedback.
What Marcelle Nolan doesn't like about Binario Cafe:
Tried to do the right thing by supporting a local business in the area. Instead my friends and I encountered the worst customer service of any cafe I have ever been to. Business will not last long with such a poor attitude towards customers. View all feedback.
I was treated to brunch in Binario. What a find and locals. Good coffee and interesting brunch menu. Some of my friends had the Cypriot Smash and said it was good. I had the Eggs Adonis that were tasteful and full. The service was a bit haphazard (the waitress forgot our coffee), but friendly so everything will be forgiven. It was quiet on a weekday, but I guess it will be very busy on the weekend.
Four of us went to breakfast and the choice was good. Service was efficient and friendly. Everything was delicious, it would have been nice to have the egg on... top on the mash instead of on the side of the plate, but... not really a problem, only it blunted the appearance of the plate. We also had coffee, tea and hot chocolate. The coffees were not your usual orders and both were delivered as ordered so that a tick gets. I had no coffee, but it was good at all accounts. I'll go back and this time I will definitely order a coffee. Decor needs some work, it just seemed incomplete, I think they tried with it, but it needs some work. The table sizes are strange, a big table for a larger group where we sat, and I'm not sure how a group of four would manage at the tables for four. I look forward to returning and hopefully I will see the café completely renovated.
I'm quite grateful that this little jewel had her Chrissy lights blown over the break, as we had never noticed this beautiful little café so close to home! Delicious breakfast, beautiful coffee, really nice atmosphere, great service. No errors to report; in fact, the café has exceeded our expectations. Prompt friendly service, sit with my strange food requirements, super tasty nosh. It is not so often you can go somewhere in the 'citizens and know that you'll have a guaranteed victory. We'll come back and we'll bring friends.
I love a good café and breakfast is my favorite meal, so I'm always really excited when I find a good brunch place. Binario has a fantastic selection of poached eggs options. I had pulled the BBQ pork eggs and they were fantastic. The BBQ sauce was sweet and tasty and the eggs were perfectly cooked. I went with a coffee snob and he even signed on coffee. The service was attentive and I was surprised that the food came so fast. Great discovery.
So new is this place that apart from the name on the verandah edge, there's no other obvious identification. It is diagonally opposite the Nunawading Train Station. I only saw it because I walked past and it looked inviting, so I decided to have lunch...there. It's decorated in the industrial style that's popular now... hard floors, old wooden kitchen tables etc. I had a Quiche and Salad for $10 and a coffee. The service is fine, the prices are reasonable and they provide plenty of newspapers. I'll happily return.
