What Mireille Deckow doesn't like about Bababoi Kitchen & Bar:
I had a craving for lorbak, and google showed that Bababoi offered this on their menu. We ordered prawn fritters, lorbak, otak otak, and tofu kerabu salad to share between two people. I had high hopes for this Malaysian kitchen but was unfortunately disappointed with...the food. Not authentic enough to satisfy my Malaysian food cravings do not think I will be returning. This cozy restaurant by the water was a pleasant surprise. While the outside tables were a bit chilly for our liking tonight, the indoor seating was comfortable. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. View all feedback.

read moreBababoi offers a wide variety of Malaysian fare with large portions and reasonable prices. Some reviewers found the food not authentic enough, while others praised the flavors and spices. The service was described as laid-back but friendly, with some slow service due to limited staff. The ambiance is basic but the food was highlighted as the star of the show with dishes like He-Jieh receiving high praise. Overall, the restaurant seems to be a hit or miss depending on individual preferences, but worth a try for those looking for Malaysian cuisine in the area.
