Staff was very friendly and food was absolutely delicious! As other reviews say, the portions are sizeable. Hashbrowns seem homemade and were nice and crispy. Rancher burger was amazing, nice and hot. Coffee with homemade whipped cream too! If you're in McGregor you should visit. View all feedback.

Cute small cafe. Food was good, but service slow. Our waitress brought our drinks, then left to run an errand. 1 1/2 hrs for lunch was way to long. Maybe an off day, would try again. View all feedback.
My family ate here twice, and both times were delicious! We had pancakes that were the size of a plate, yummy bacon and eggs, delicious homemade French toast, and biscuits and gravy. We will definitely be back when we visit family. Also, they had homemade donuts, huge carmel rolls, cinnamon rolls and bars. Yum!!
What a wonderful spot! Breakfast was fabulous and the homemade bread was incredible. Such a cute little place!
I've never been anywhere quite like the School House Cafe. The atmosphere has a mix of child-like wonder and coming home. The ladies who run the place are sweet and hard working. The food was great- especially if you like hash browns!
As you enter the restaurant, you might expect it to be larger inside. The atmosphere is lively, with plenty of interesting decor to enjoy, but it was quite crowded, making it difficult to navigate through the space.
This place is my favorite of all time!! The main cook makes the best chicken salad sandwich. I could eat a whole loaf of that sweet rye bread. They are struggling with young staff like most people but any inconveniences is totally worth it!!! You always get large portions here! Stopping here is a must for me whenever I am driving through even if it isn't a meal time. Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating with gluten free options!
