Subway - Mauldin
Subway
Description
A local sandwich shop pairs genuinely warm, helpful staff and polite handoffs with inconsistent service and policy issues. Customers report pleasant greetings and attentive employees, but also stale baked goods, awkward confrontations, drive‑thru neglect, and confusing or partial refunds. Coupon refusals and high prices frustrate value-seekers. In short: friendly moments and solid basics are undermined by uneven training and unclear refund/coupon policies.

I received stale cookies, and the staff attempted to refund me only half of my money. The woman seemed unsure about how to process a refund, even calling her boss at home for assistance. It's frustrating—if you served me old food, just give me back the full amount I paid.
I just picked up an order online, and the woman cleaning the dining area greeted me with a warm smile. She checked on the status of my food and personally handed it to me while thanking me. She was genuinely kind, and her smile made it clear that she was happy to assist.
This sub shop is excellent. My only concern is that the prices have become quite high. Additionally, they do not accept coupons.
This is the worst subway I have ever had the displeasure of eating from. I did an online order for an Italian on flat bread and wanted it toasted. When I got it home I realized it had never been toasted and the flat bread was super hard. I also ordered cookies and a churro and they were both nasty. The cookies were way over cooked, hard and falling apart. The churro was super chewy and grainy. I was really hoping to be able to eat from this restaurant often as it is 2 minutes from my home.
