The last time I visited was last Wednesday with a close... read more I have to say, I absolutely LOVE the food at Kickys! Unfortunately, our service was quite disappointing. The last time I visited was last Wednesday with a close friend to enjoy the 40% off special. As usual, it was busy. Our server greeted us promptly and brought over wine glasses for the white wine we had brought. After placing our order, however, we hardly saw her again. After an hour of waiting, we finally managed to get her attention, and she informed us that the delay was due to a missing item we hadn’t even ordered. It was clear she had forgotten to place our order, so we gave it to her again. Meanwhile, we watched as several other tables were seated, ate, and left around us. When we finally received our food, it all came at once, and she didn’t even check in with us after. We needed basic things, but our server was nowhere to be found. After a while, we asked for the check and eventually received it, but she ignored us when we tried to pay. We ended up paying at the front, assuming that was the protocol. When I asked about it, I was told the server should have handled it. I understand the restaurant was busy that night, but that doesn't excuse the neglect we experienced, especially since other tables received better service from the same server. As I mentioned, I absolutely love the food (especially the specials), and that will be the reason I return and recommend Kickys to others.

While it’s not Japanese, the actual Jap... read more I highly recommend trying the Beef Chow Fun, even though it wasn't on the menu—it turned out to be the best dish we had. While it’s not Japanese, the actual Japanese items were quite lackluster. Overall, the rest of the food was just average, especially if you’re not a fan of Japanese cuisine. Honestly, I wouldn’t say the food was memorable enough for a return visit.
